The successful candidate will be part of the Luxembourg Lending Team as Lending Advisor and reporting to the Group Head of Lending Advisory.
 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Work closely with client advisors and clients in an advisory capacity on the structuring of potential lending operations for Quintet Group Clients in line with the Bank’s risk appetite. 
  • Provide client advisors with guidance on the Bank's Credit Policy and support in engaging with clients using his/her strong credit knowledge to identify and submit solutions which balance the client's credit needs with the Bank's risk appetite. 
  • Responsible for the end-to-end process of establishing the loan facility including, amongst other things: 
    • Counterparty and collateral, assessment 
    • Writing Credit Applications presenting the loan facility to the applicable Credit Committee in collaboration with Client Advisor  
    • Where required instruct external appraisals and/or legal opinions and validate the results  
    • Ensure all Conditions Precedent are duly met 
  • Manage the setup of the loan facility jointly with other departments (credit administration, credit risk). 
  • Assist in the development, coordination and delivery of Credit Training to Private Bankers 
  • Participate in Lending-related business projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group's lending products, process and procedures. 
  • Ensure all reviews are completed on time 
  • To work towards becoming a Lending Advisor certified to provide clients with advice. 
  • Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required 
     

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • +10 years experience, preferabely in a similar role
  • Experience in the private banking/wealth management sector  
  • Understands Risk within context of the role and meets the regulatory obligations, as applicable.

  • Good communication skills considering variety of stakeholders and lines of business 
  • Project management skills, showing rigor and autonomy as well as being able to prioritize at all times 
  • Well-organized and well-prepared at all times and conscious about time-management, always aiming for efficiency and excellence 
  • Capable to work in a fast-pace environment, under high-pressure and handling short timeframes, while remaining a team player 
  • Results focused, open for business enhancing and developing Quintet’s name and brand 
     

Technical Skills

 

  • External certifications to provide lending advise, where required (i.e. CeMAP, MCD) 
     

Languages Skills

 

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of another Quintet languages is an advantage
