Quintet is searching for a Tax Director to reinforce its Group Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing team. The Tax Director reports to the Group Head of Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing and will support on tax matters that the department is responsible for. The department is responsible for tax matters, in which Quintet acts as a corporate taxpayer across all countries where it has presence. Matters in relation to clients or employees are out of scope as are matters in relation to CRS, FATCA, QI, tax relief and tax reclaim. This position will work closely with a wide variety of internal departments and external advisors to ensure Quintet’s compliance with all tax laws and regulations, and grants a unique opportunity to shape a pan-European tax function. 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Advise and provide support to the Group Head of Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing on tax matters, which include among others corporate income tax, value added tax, fund tax, transfer pricing  
  • Provide tax analysis in relation to all business lines, potential new products / activities, expansions / divestures or other M&A activities, transformation and business restructurings  
  • Coordinate tax due diligence  
  • Assist in the implementation of Quintet’s tax strategy that best supports the business  
  • Contribute to the Group Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing team goals  
  • Coordinate local country tax compliance with support of external advisors 
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax related documentation 
  • Establish a comprehensive tax risk management framework to ensure full statutory compliance
  • Review and provide support on tax accounting positions  
  • Provide support to periodical tax forecasting process  
  • Analyse processes and identify areas for improvement, streamlining and automation 
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy of processes  
  • Support tax audits and tax controversy management  
  • Evaluate impact of changes in applicable tax laws and regulations on Quintet’s tax positions  
  • Balance multiple work streams, handling both day-to-day tasks and strategic projects

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • A master’s degree in tax law or tax economics (or other relevant field) 
  • 7+ years of experience in taxation with a reputable tax advisory firm or a multinational company  
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and IFRS

Languages Skills

 

  • Fluent in English 
  • French and German are assets
