We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced IT Workplace System Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Modern Workplace to join our team.

The successful candidate will work as part of the ITS Group Function in the Workplace & Mobility Team in IT Quintet Luxembourg.

 

The Workplace System Engineer will be responsible for:


•    IT Compliance Management using Microsoft Purview
•    Security and Threat Management using Microsoft 365 Defender
•    Level 3 Troubleshooting
•    Office 365 Admin Console Management
•    Management of Microsoft Intune Admin CENTER

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Manage user endpoint compliance, specifically focusing on Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data governance and compliance, continuously improve the organization’s data management practices
  • Identification of potential security threats across the organisation’s Microsoft 365 environment
  • Security incident response including threat analysis and containment, and implementing measures to prevent similar incidents in the future
  • Develop and enforce security policies across the organisation, ensuring these policies are aligned with the organisation’s security goals and compliance requirements.
  • Generate detailed reports on the organization’s security status, including incidents, threats, and actions taken
  • Collaborate with other IT and business teams to ensure a unified approach to security
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends and threat intelligence. Use this knowledge to continuously improve the organization’s security practices.
  • Level 3 troubleshooting of complex and high-impact issues, identifying the underlying cause of recurring issues and developing long-term solutions to prevent them from happening again.
  • Document solutions to complex problems for future reference.
  • Assure the availability of Microsoft 365 collaboration services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, configuring settings, managing licenses, and monitoring service health.
  • Implement and manage security policies to protect the organization’s data, including managing user identities, setting up multi-factor authentication, and configuring data loss prevention policies.
  • Ensure the organization’s use of Office 365 complies with internal policies and external regulations, including managing data privacy settings, auditing user activities, and responding to legal requests.
  • Provide Level 3 support to users experiencing issues with Office 365 services. Identify and resolve technical issues using the troubleshooting tools available in the Admin Console.
  • Generate reports on usage, performance, and security. Use this data to make informed decisions about resource allocation, training needs, and security improvements.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Intune Admin Center, managing devices such as mobiles, tablets, and laptops, including configuring device settings, managing device security policies and managing applications across all enrolled devices.
  • Configure policies for compliance, conditional access, and device configuration to protect corporate data.
  • Manage updates to the operating system and applications on enrolled devices.
  • Implement and manage security features like encryption, firewall, and antivirus settings on devices.
  • Generate reports on device compliance, application usage, and security incidents. Use this data to make informed decisions about resource allocation and security improvements.

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
  • Microsoft 365 Certification like Enterprise Administrator Expert is a plus 
     

Attributes and Qualities

 

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in building relationships, strong interpersonal Experience working in a financial institution or other highly regulated sector is an advantage
  • Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
