This role works as part of the Investment and Client Solutions function and contributes to the Group’s sustainable investing team with a focus on ESG regulation, ESG client reporting, and transferring these into commercial opportunities.  

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the preparation of product and entity disclosures, reports and communications as required by sustainable finance regulations (eg, SFDR, SDR). Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and their implications on Quintet’s products and investment processes.  
- Maintain and update Quintet ESG and sustainable investment policies, frameworks and procedures. 
- Contribute to the wider CIO’s research franchise, partner with the Asset Allocation, Macro team, Bond and Equity teams. 
- Support the execution of Quintet ESG and sustainable investments processes, including exclusions, screening and analysis across asset classes.  
- Embed high quality sustainable investing processes, methodologies, and data throughout Quintet’s investment and research process. 
- Support Quintet’s client advisors with pitches, request for proposals, client requests to serve the needs of private clients. 
- Be a functioning member of the Sustainable and Thematic Investing team, contributing to team strategy, presentations, and client requests. 
- Operate as a centre of excellence and knowledge on sustainable and impact investing topics. Contribute to the Quintet’s credibility in this area and support and develop fellow analysts and client advisors’ understanding of sustainable and impact investing. 
- Conceptualize and innovate Quintet’s client communications partnering with Marketing and Group Product and Services functions to design innovative, engaging, and credible pre- and after-sales, as well as product and portfolio reporting. 
- Contribute to internal communication strategy, the group’s sustainable and impact investing training, internal updates, and management communications. 
 

Knowledge and Experience

Knowledge of topics such as the financial case for ESG integration; the measurement and implementation of impact investing; the advantageous and limitations of sustainable data providers; measurement and implications of ESG-related fund flows. This position is not focused on day-to-day single-stock ESG integration.

Understanding of sustainable finance regulations (eg, SFDR, SDR, TCFD) 

Experience with regulatory reporting and ESG client reporting in relation to periodic discolours under SFDR.  

Some experience of commercial research with an engaged readership base on relevant industry-level topics is helpful. 

Understanding of sustainable investing initiatives (i.e. UN PRI, SASB, GIIN). 

Experience of working within banking, wealth and / or asset management

Technical Skills

Solid understanding of the MS Office suite. 
Familiarity with financial software (e.g. Aladdin, Bloomberg).  
Experience with sustainable data providers with an understanding of their granular methodologies and potential IT integration. 

Languages Skills

Fluent in English, additional European Language advantageous
